In 1997 two new fire stations were erected in Co Durham. The stations are staffed 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.

The Altro specifications were used as the resin floor finish, which offers a high degree of wear is abrasion resistant and has non-slip characteristics.

After ten years of continuous use the floor shows little or no signs of wear.
